Transportation from the Airport

  – Airport Bus

The most direct, cost efficient and comfortable way of getting from the airport to Ewha Womans University is to take the airport bus number 602 from bus terminals 5B or 12A on the first floor of the airport. The trip will cost 9,000 won and take about 55-60 minutes. The bus is available from 05:30 to 23:30. Information on bus routes and ticketing can be found at the information booth next to gate 2, 4, 9, 13. As you get on the bus, please tell the driver that you would like to get off at Ewha Womans University (이대) so that he can let you know when the bus arrives at the destination. The bus will be dropping you off in front of Ewha Womans University Subway Station gate 7. Enter gate 7 and come out of gate 2 on the other side. Now, all you have got left is to walk straight down the sidewalk until you see the school in front. The International Education Building (IEB) is the tallest building located on your left.

  – Subway

This is a cheaper but a more complicated alternative to taking the airport bus. It will cost 4,200 won and take 75 minutes to get to Ewha Womans University. First, from the airport passenger terminal, make your way to the first basement floor and follow the signs to the Airport Railroad (AREX) Incheon International Airport Station. Second, pay the express train fare of 3,100 won to get from Incheon International Airport Station (인천공항) to Gimpo Airport Station (김포공항). Third, when you reach Gimpo Airport Station leave AREX and follow the signs to the subway line number 5 (color purple). Tell the ticket clerk that you are headed to Ewha Womans University and pay the subway train fare of 1,100 won. Fourth, get off at Yeongdeungpo-gu Office (영등포구청) (11 stations away) and transfer to line number 2 (green color) in the direction of City Hall (시청) and Wangsimni (왕십리). Ewha Womans University is 5 stations away. Fifth, get off at Ewha Womans University (이대입구) and exit through gate number 2. Walk straight down the sidewalk until you reach the school.

 – Taxi

Taxis are on standby 24 hours a day at the Incheon International Airport. A trip to Ewha Womans University will cost approximately 40,000 to 50,000 won. The initial fare on the meter is 1,900 won for a regular taxi, and the black luxury taxis (called “Mo-beom”) will cost more starting at the initial fare of 4,500 won. Taxi fares increase 20% after midnight.

Visitor Parking Rates

The following parking rates are charged to visitors entering from the front and back gates: 1. First 15 minutes: 1,000 won 2. First 30 minutes: 2,000 won 3. 10 minute overtime: 500 won 4. 10 minute overtime after 2 hours: 1,000 won 5. Maximum fee a day: 30,000 won 6. In the event of a lost or damaged ticket, visitors will be charged full parking fee from time of parking lot opening to time of reported ticket loss. If a proof of arking provided by visitors is accepted as reasonable, parking fee will be charged accordingly.
